Assistant Inspector of Excise:-
Total Post : 44 [Unreserved- 20], [OBC/MOBC- 09], [ST(P)- 07], [ST(H)- 04], [EWS- 04]
- SC candidates will be considered for unreserved posts on merit
Salary : Pay Scale of Rs. 14000-49,000/- (Pay Band II) Grade Pay Rs. 6200/-
Age Limit : Candidate must be 18 to 38 years as on 1st January 2020
Upper age relaxation would be 5 yrs for SC/ST & 3yrs for OBC/MOBC
Education : Minimum Higher Secondary passed from any recognized Board or Council.
Other Qualification: NA
Nationality: Candidate must be Indian Citizen

Excise Constables:-
Total Post : 159 [Unreserved- 72], [OBC/MOBC- 40], [SC- 11], [ST(P)- 16], [ST(H)- 04], [EWS- 16]
Salary : Pay Scale of Rs. 14000-49,000/- (Pay Band II) Grade Pay Rs. 5000/-
Age Limit : Candidate must be 18 to 38 years as on 1st January 2020

Education : Minimum HSLC or its equivalent passed from any recognized Board or Council.

Selection Process Excise Department of Assam Recruitment 2020:
- Candidates applied for the both posts will have to appear Physical Standards Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- Candidate applied for the both posts have to appear for the Writen Test as well. Details-
- Written test will be of 100 Marks
- Each question will carry 1 mark
- There will be negative marks of 1/2 (Half) mark for each wrong answers.
- Writen Test questions will be in 3 parts-
- Logical reasoning, aptitude, comprehension
- Matters relating to History and Culture of Assam and India
- General Knowledge
